Musculoskeletal Health Event
An event on conditions of the muscles, bones, joints, tendons and ligaments.

There are a large number of muscoloskeletal (MSK) health conditions that patients present to their doctors with. Many of them respond to self care interventions. On April 26th, two senior Specialist Physiotherapists from Berkshire Health Foundation Trust, Kate Watson and Claire Gibson from Berkshire Health Foundation Trust (BHFT) will be talking about Low Back Pain and Sciatica. I will then do a a more general evaluation of MSK conditions of the upper and lower extremities (arms / hands / legs / feet) and spine. We will explain what you can do to improve your condition and when to see a professional. Due to the vastness of this area we can only cover a smaller number of common conditions, but are happy to answer questions about rarer conditions.

The self-management programme, teaches people how to manage their long-term condition covering certain topics such as anxiety management, goal-setting, living with a long-term condition and many more. The course is suitable for any long term condition and is delivered by two fully qualified facilitators.

COPD – Breathe Easy Event
Click here to register for our Free NHS event on prevention, support and treatment as well as improvement of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). With Consultant Dr G Roberts from the Windsor Chest Clinic.
COPD is a condition where patients suffer of Shortness of Breath. It starts as early as in the mid-40ies with patients feel out of breath after climbing stairs. 90% of patients with COPD are smoking or have a smoking history.
COPD is a condition which results in multiple chest infections, wheeziness, chest tightness, coughing. In extreme cases patients cannot lie down to sleep and need Oxygen. However, amazing improvements can be achieved at ANY stage of the disease.
So if you have COPD or you suffer frequent chest infections in Winter with wheeziness or you feel quite short of breath when doing minimal exertion and you have a history of smoking this event is for you.
Event:
Easthampstead Baptist Church, Nov 17th. Registration at 18:45 for a prompt start at 19:00. Please be aware in the unlikely event of very high numbers of registrations parking may be unavailable at the venue for some patients and parking opportunities at the nearby Leisure Centre may have to be utilised. This means you may have to allow time to walk / drop off patients.
